Default White dye on Tormentors Armor?

I was looking at my dark red Tormentors armor the other day, and I decided I wanted a color change. I've been reading the forums for a while, and decided that a "white" (It's really cream) dye would look really good. So I mixed Yellow+Silver+Silver+Silver and with great trepidation I applied it to my armor. It came out a greyish brown. Obviously, this isn't what I wanted. Is there any way that any of you have found of dying your necro Tormentors armor White/Cream?

All dye remover does is bring out the original armor colour, in this case red. The order in which you mix dyes has no effect to my knowledge.

My experience with dye remover is that it makes the colour lighter. Don't aply it on the armour, but on the bottle

If you mix a dye remover with a dye, all that really does is let the base colour of the armor mix with the dye to an extent.

Your profile says that you use a warrior - they have a very light yellow as the base colour, that might be what you're seeing.

Dye remover is just a dye whose colour is class dependent. I believe its red on a necro.
One thing Ive wondered about dye order is the colour proportion, I think silver+silver+ssilver+yellow may be equivalent to silver+yellow, the logic being as follows:
silver + silver = silver(mix)
sliver(mix) + silver = silver(mix)
silver(mix) + yellow = 50/50 silver/yellow (mix)

in contrast:

yellow + silver = 50/50 silver/yellow (mix)
50/50 silver/yellow (mix) + silver = 75/25 silver/yellow (mix)
75/25 silver/yellow (mix) + silver = 87.5/12.5 silver/yellow (mix) + silver

This required testing, but might explain the darker colour you achieved.

I had a yellow, then added 3 silvers one after the other into it. It's that simple. Red is the base colour for necro's.

You guys really need to read other threads on this before posting. I have argued this before and I will do this again.

MIXING ORDER DOES NOT MATTER ON GW's DYES! ! !

There is only two ways to mix the so called white dye everybody says.
1. silver + yellow + silver + silver
2. Yellow + silver + silver + silver

Either way you get the same result.

If anybody would ever test this before posting you will find you can not mix a silver +silver first. The game makes the mixing sound then poof your two silver dyes will still be there in your inventory UNCHANGED.

As that being said I have tested many dyes on many armors and no matter what ORDER you mix them in you get the exact same color.

Dye A + dye B + dye C = dye D
Dye B + dye C + dye A = dye D
Dye C + dye A + dye B = dye D

its true that dye remover remives dye from armr, but if you add it to a mix of dyes IN THE BOTTLE, it changes the color. I dont know how to make white, but as example of you mix red and purple you get magenta, but if you add dye remover to mix you get hot pink... so experiment.
and btw, silver + sylver= sylver so its a waist. order does matter in some cases.

Actually, if you mix the same colour together, you can get a slightly darker version of the colour in some cases. You do this by having a dye of the colour you want in your storage, and one in inventory. You use the dye in your inventory on the one in storage and voila! you have a mixed dye. It doesn't do a hell of a lot though.

All you're doing there is replacing one dye with another! LMAO

Yes you are correct you can mix 2 of the same colors together. With a little finesse you can by having one in storage.

However it does not change the shade of the one color. I just tested this myself and my red + red = red. No change. So I stand correct. Mixing order has no affect on dyes.

Try it, It'll come up as a mixed dye. However, the darkness apparently only works on some dyes, if it works at all. This darker stuff is all hear-say on my part, it's quite possible that it doesn't work at all.

Can we please get back on topic? Is it actually at all possible to get white on tormentors, or am I doomed forever to have boring armor?

Don't know if you're talking Male or Female Tomrentor's, but I (female) had Tormentor's dyed simply Silver for a while, and I liked it. Never tried getting white, but the silver looked very metallic and gave it a steel look. Looked a lot like a kind of platemail or something, thought it was cool.
